Dear Valued Client,
We hope that this newsletter finds you and your family in good health. We are excited about the upcoming 2010 tennis season and we look forward to seeing you again on the courts.
Here is a list of the top 10 things that you need to know about TSPA 2010:
1. Changes and Important Reminders
Some members of the Côte Saint-Luc Tennis Club’s Board of Directors
decided to reduce the number of campers per week from 64 to 32.
They also felt that it would be best that camp no longer operate on
St-Jean Baptiste and Canada Day. Our camp has easily filled up with
the 64 spots that had been available over the past few years. It is therefore
very important to register early to avoid disappointment. Just like last year,
we are going to the Rogers Cup Tennis tournament on
week #9 (August 17th is our tentative date). An additional $25 fee
will be applicable that week to go to Uniprix Stadium. Our popular round fobins
right after camp (4-5:30) will still be offered. It is an excellent opportunity
to meet other campers and perfect many of the skills learned. The cost is only
$10 per session. For those who registered with us last year (in 2009), please
note that you may claim the full amount that was paid to us in box C on the
releve 24 that was issued to you. Therefore, if you submit your tax
recceipts online, in box E, you should claim the full amount rather then a partial
amount that was given to you. If you send your releve 24, then please
send us back the form and we will be pleased to make the correction for you
with our initials and send it back to you as soon as possible. We apologize
for the error and any inconvenience this may have caused. We have received confliciting
messages when communicating with Quebec government officials regarding this
tax refund. Interestingly, it comes out to a tax refund of at least 26% to 60%
depending on your family income and this up to $4,000 related to camp fees from
the provincial side and, 15% up to $500 on the federal side. As always if you
refer TSPA a new client, simply ask them to put down your name when asked “how
did you hear about us”. If they register for one week or more of camp,
you would get 20 coupons.
How do I Register? TSPA's New Online Registration System
You can register for camp online (option #2 from our website and then click
“register now” on the top right hand side. This will get you to
the login screen. Those registered in 2009 should have a username and password.
You should use your email address as your username. If you have difficulty logging
in, follow the instructions to retrieve your password. If you are still having
difficulty, send us an email at info@tspa.ca or call us to help you with the
process. All camp fees are payable to TSPA Inc. For those of you who still cannot
get away from the traditional paper and pen format, we still have forms available
at the club or that can be downloaded from our website.
2. Registration Procedure.
a) Application Form
If you plan on registering your child for only one week, the cost of registration
is $250 for members and $300 for non-members. However, just like last year,
once you register and pay for a camper as a non-member for two weeks, your child
becomes a member of the club. In this case, you need to fill
out the club application form and then benefit from all the privileges associated
with being a club member. We recommend that you sign up through the City of
Côte Saint-Luc for a club membership by filling out a club form that can
be found by clicking here
or by visiting the club. Make sure to check off "TSPA Inc. "
when asked “how did you find out about the club” at the bottom of
the form. You can mail your application form with a $90 payment by
Visa, MasterCard or by cheque payable to the City of CSL or mail it or drop
it off in person at the Parks and Recreation offices (7500 Mackle Rd. CSL, PQ
H4W 1A6 ) or at the Côte Saint-Luc Tennis Club starting April 1st. After
this date, the cost of becoming a member of the club will be $100. Once again,
you save money if you register by May 2nd.
In order to better organize this process, we have also set-up two registration
and payment dates for your convenience.
1) Camp Registration Day: It will be held on April 7th from 6 to 8pm at the
Côte Saint-Luc Parks and Recreation offices located at 7500 Mackle Rd.
Côte Saint-Luc, Quebec H4W 1A6.
2) Club Open House: The tentative date is late May. Admission is free. For a
confirmation on this date, please check our website late April. The different
events will take place from 11:00 to 5:00 at the club located at 8215 Guelph
Road.
If you are not able to make any of these dates, please call us at 514-886-9929
or email info@tspa.ca to set-up an appointment. We are trying to avoid last
minute registration because many weeks will fill up fast. Remember that we operate
on a 1st come 1st serve basis.

is offering a one time offer that allows you to book up to 10 lessons and become
a member of the club for the duration of your clinics. The temporary membership
cost depends on whether you are a junior (Add $10), student or senior (add $15)
or adult (add $20). At the end of the clinic semester, you may become a member
of the club for the rest of the season by paying the difference between the
membership fee and the fees already paid toward a membership. Lessons start
as low as $12 per hour. You can register online for our clinics (option #3 from
