Welcome to the Woodland Tennis Club

About the Club

The club offers six clay courts, a spacious club house, a nice patio to relax with your friends and tennis partners as well as a and bar. The club offers tennis lessons, clinics for juniors and adults as well as runs round robins to players of all levels.

Hours of Operation

The club opens Monday - Friday at 9am and closes at 10pm. Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), the club opens at 9am and closes at 8pm. During the holidays, club hours follow the weekend schedule. The club closes a little earlier after September depending on the weather and the number of members who are playing. As of late August, on weekdays, the court remain open but the challet only opens as of 4pm.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors governs the Woodland Tennis Club Inc. which is owned by the city of Verdun. The board, elected by tennis players at large in the community serves as volunteers. the current board members and the officers for the board are listed below.

Services Offered and Amenities:

The club offers:

• 6 outdoor clay courts professionally maintained

• A variety of activities including junior clinics, private tennis lessons, camp and tournaments. For more information, click here

• Liquor licence (for those 18 years and over).

• Patio and spacious club house with tv, satelite service and comfortable chairs.

• A social committee organizing a variety of activities for their members such as BBQ hot dog / tennis evenings, corn on the cob with tennis activities and other goodies.

Membership Fees

To become a member of the Woodland Tennis Club, the list of 2011 prices are below:

Membership Category After May 30th
Junior (high school age or under - proof of school level required with application form) $120
Student (full time CEGEP and or University (proof of full-time studies required with application form) $120
Veteran $175
Senior $175
Guest Pass (maximum three times) $12

Prior to May 30th there is a 10% reduction on the fees above except for the junior membership.

As of August 1st, there is a 40% reduction of the membership fee.

Interested in taking the BMW? (Bus, Metro Walk :) Click here to enter your starting and ending information yourself. Remember, the club is located at 5550 Boulevard Lasale H4H 1N8. At the end, you should exit at De L'eglise metro station and take the 58 bus going west.

Hours of operation

The club is open normally the first week of May to the end of October. The club is open Monday - Friday 8:00am - 10pm and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am - 9pm. On statuary holidays, the club closes at 19:00. The club also closes earlier (around 9pm) towards the end of the season in October).

Club Uniform

The club's uniform policy includes wearing flat soled tennis shoes (not running shoes). Without them, you will not be allowed to play. Click here for information on purchasing shoes. In addition, adults must wear either a collared shirt (preferable) or a tennis shirt. Women are encouraged to wear a tennis attire.
